Overview The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery
of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric
Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric
distribution and transmission operations, including planning,
engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management,
business planning, restoration, and emergency response. Position
Summary The Inspection Review Specialist examines and reviews the
findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding
alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines.
Incumbents identify trends in the findings of other personnel,
prepare reports and recommendations and validate determinations
regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed. This
position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Dublin, CA
based on business needs or company requirements. PG&E is
providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith
believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job
posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the
job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on
multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills,
education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value,
geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the
successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards
the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made
on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. The hourly rate
for this position ranges from $50.48 - 81.25. Job Responsibilities
Reviews completed inspection forms, attached pictures, maps and
other information submitted from inspectors in company systems
(such as SAP, Trifacta, Sherlock) to analyze and evaluate the
inspector’s conclusions. Returns incomplete records to the
originator or Supervisor for correction and ensures all records and
findings are maintained for potential future audits. Participates
in internal inspection quality audit efforts. Assists in the
development of reports describing audit findings, observations and
trends. Presents findings and makes recommendations to management
on assigned special projects. Reviews, approves and releases
staging notifications, corrective notifications and orders
submitted by inspectors based on the priority of work tasks.
Provides training and/or feedback for Inspectors related to
selecting the appropriate FDA (Facility/Damage/Action) for a
maintenance issue identified, required information for Line
Corrective (LC) or EC (Distribution) notifications, general
feedback on quality of photos, etc. Assists with the implementation
of process improvement and efficiencies. Performs quality assurance
reviews, as applicable, based on the EC/LC field condition and/or
any issues with the information provided from the originating
inspector. Assists others using established processes, practices
and procedures, as needed. Qualifications Minimum: High School or
GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma Utility industry
experience, or related, 5 years Ability to travel up to 15 percent
of working time Desired: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Electric
Journeyman utility experience, 5 years, or 4 years engineering
experience Ability to review pictures of field scenarios and
recognize whether a regulatory condition needs to be addressed
within Compliance Program timeframe. Proficient in Microsoft Office
Products (Exchange, Excel, Word) Good decision-making skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with employees from
various departments Strong oral and written communication skills
with various levels of internal contacts Knowledge and
understanding of GO 165, 95, 128 and construction standards, and
the differences/similarities (compelling/regulatory conditions vs.
GO 95 or 128) Knowledge and understanding of the electric asset
preventative maintenance tasks including patrol and inspection.
Proficient in SAP Work Management Familiarity with PG&E
construction standards, bulletins and guidance documents
