The intention of the pre-clinical trial is to get the results published in a scientific journal and evaluate implementation in transplant recipients.We are specifically studying two potential pathways:

  • Deactivation of HLA genes in donor organs using CRISPR-Cas9 delivered via lentiviral vectors or electroporation.
  • Creating chimeric bone marrow via engineered CD34+ cells.Job Requirements:Experience/Skills:
  • Gene knockout engineering using lentiviral vectors or electroporation and CRISPR-Cas9
  • Strong knowledge of the immune system
  • Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards with animal models
  • Research design and scientific investigation backgroundPreferred Experience:
  • Understanding of hematopoietic stem cell chimerism
  • Familiarity with FDA approval processes
