The Park Operations Manager is vital to the daily operations of the Resort with a focus on aquatic operations such as swimming pool and water zone. To maintain compliance with Company standards in areas of security, aquatics, and amenities requires critical-thinking, attention to detail, and vigilant coaching. This position aims to safely protect our staff and our guests from mild-to-severe injuries, promoting an environment filled with comfort and ease. This management position is a full-time role that manages subordinate staff and reports to the General Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Aquatics
Our Pool Attendants & Lifeguards are responsible for guest satisfaction and compliance of assigned pool area rules. The team's ultimate goal is to ensure that each guest feels secure and cared for while exploring our numerous aquatic options.

  • Oversee a Pool Supervisor and staff of Lifeguards and/or Pool Attendants;
    • Guide Pool Supervisor with the management of the lifeguards/pool attendants in their assigned area, enforcing established rules, complying with regulations, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor;
    • Conduct classes, training, and in-service training for Aquatics staff;
    • Ensure all lifeguard certifications are current where applicable;
    • Manages all aspects of aquatics, including pools and splash pads; and,
    • Monitors cleanliness and safety for all water features, including chemical levels.
      Security & Safety
      Our Security & Safety members interact with guests by supporting when needed and monitoring compliance of the Resort's safety precautions. Their duties can range from 'park patrol' to first-aid application and risk management of the resort's activities.
      • Supervises security team;
      • Assist in developing and implementing emergency and safety procedures;
      • Responds to incidents and resolves problems;
      • Respond to guest inquiries using the company's service recovery guidelines;
      • Evaluates operations and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions; and,
      • Ensures all team members are aware of safety requirements and follow safety procedures, including lifeguard handbook.
        Other General Duties
        • Hire, train, and schedule team to coordinate workflows that maintain compliance with budget guidelines;
        • Implement, manage, and monitor programs, policies, and procedures that meet company and safety standards;
        • Complete reporting on a timely basis and maintain accurate records;
        • Responsible for establishing standards and setting expectations;
        • Required to perform the same tasks as the individuals they supervise;
        • Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group or department;
        • Suggests improvements to processes and serves as a knowledge resource for other team members;
        • Serves as the location's Manager-on-Duty on an as needed basis;
        • Coordinate and oversee various projects from start to finish;
        • Collaborate with park and home office departments;
        • Learn and utilize the reservation system for daily planning (Campspot);
        • Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service; and,
        • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned.
          EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
          • High School diploma;
          • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, or ability to obtain upon hire required;
          • First Aid/AED/CPR certification, or ability to obtain upon hire required;
          • Certified Lifeguard certification, or ability to obtain upon hire required;
          • Experience with filtration systems preferred; and,
          • Experience in customer service, hospitality, and management preferred.
            QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
            • Basic computer skills;
            • Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills;
            • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills;
            • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy;
            • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
            • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude;
            • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays;
            • Work with minimal supervision; and,
            • Maintain composure under pressure.
              ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
              • Able to move up to 50 lbs;
              • Must be able to remain in a stationary position;
              • Regularly move throughout the location;
              • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl;
              • Use arms and hands to reach, and lift;
              • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions; and,
              • Able to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across distance in everyday and loud situations.
