metabolism and genetics. The impact you will make: Agios
Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Associate
Director/Director, Global Forecasting, to join our growing
Commercial Operations and Analytics team. We want someone who cares
about this important work, and who’s driven to connect to our
mission of helping these patient communities. The Associate
Director/Director, Global Forecasting will be responsible for
applying industry-best practices to build and lead Agios
forecasting tools and processes and act as a strategic
thought-partner to various Agios stakeholders including Commercial,
Finance, Corporate Strategy, Commercial Supply, and Business
Development. This role supports Agios’ pipeline and in-line
portfolio as well as long-range planning and business development
assessments. The individual must be a strong leader,
well-organized, strategic-minded, and detail-oriented with
excellent written and verbal communication skills. Remote
candidates are welcome to apply! What you will do: Build, update,
and maintain the operational unit-based forecasting models for
portfolio including scenario planning and risk assessments, lead
forecast and projection efforts for multiple launches Collaborate
with internal stakeholders to establish final forecast
recommendations, outline latest estimates, and understand
performance; articulate/document assumptions and
risks/opportunities Manage the development of global long-range
forecasting models for the portfolio in collaboration with internal
stakeholders Ensure appropriate integration of insights from
in-market performance, competitive landscape, market research, and
analyst reports into forecast through proactive cross-functional
engagement Analyze, evaluate, and recommend most appropriate
techniques to use for developing a forecast- epidemiology, demand
study, or analog based; own and evolve robust forecasting best
practices Guide the design of required secondary analytics &
primary market research studies to validate forecast assumptions,
architecture, and patient populations Partner with the Business
Development and Corporate Strategy to support the valuation of
potential business development opportunities What you bring: 6-8
years minimum of relevant business experience in market research,
forecasting, strategic planning and/or management consulting;
previous biotech industry experience in marketing, sales, finance,
or business analytics preferred Expertise required in building
dynamic forecast models in Excel as well as analytical /
quantitative data analytics skills Strong knowledge of secondary
data sources, including sales, specialty pharmacy, promotional &
marketing, longitudinal patient, & payer data; experience working
with commercial data in biotech industry preferred Proven
experience presenting to and engaging with senior leadership,
including accountability for generating, presenting, defending, and
maintaining forecasts of products and markets with a high degree of
precision and insight Experience in rare / genetically defined
diseases is strongly desired, including in-line and pipeline
products Well organized, analytical, creative, strong strategic
thinker; ability to challenge internal assumptions and go beyond
the "obvious" answer Experience managing outside vendors to meet
project timelines in support of key organizational deliverables

Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on
employees individual preference. This role has the ability to be
either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters.
Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week
onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable
distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work
entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/
meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be
required for certain company events commensurate to the above job

current base salary range for this position at the Associate
Director is expected to be between $149,069 and $223,604 annualized
and the current base salary range for this position at the Director
level is expected to be between $178,203 and $267,305 annualized;
final salary will be determined based on various factors including,
but not limited to, years of relevant experience, job knowledge,
skills and proficiency, degree/education, and internal comparators.
