Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: San Jose, CA Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,840 to $3,100 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a 12-room Operating Room at Good Samaritan Hospital. Scrub and/or circulate for a variety of surgical procedures including Neuro, Spine, Total Joint, General Surgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Urology, and Cardiac (CABG & Valves) . Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile fields, and ensure proper use of perioperative equipment. Monitor patients throughout the surgical process and respond promptly to intraoperative needs. Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR . Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage as scheduled. Float to Pre-Op as needed. Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and professionalism in a fast-paced OR environment. Requirements Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required CNOR certification preferred (not required) Heart / Cardiac OR experience required for heart room assignments (CABG, valve procedures) Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including Neuro, Spine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Urology, and Thoracic Familiarity with perioperative equipment and sterile technique Ability to work 5 eight-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) plus on-call rotation Willingness to float to Pre-Op as needed Experience working in open heat environments as required Strong teamwork, flexibility, and communication skills Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical environment
