Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Redwood City, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,996 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Redwood City, California, 94062! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP Description: Ratios are per ACOG guidelines; typically, 1:3 or 1:4 couplets. Electronic Medical Record system used is Cerner. Charge Nurse responsibilities include triaging patients. Nurse Aides will function as aides when there are no cases. Every other weekend commitment is required, including night and day shifts. Holidays are rotated with staff, typically one of every three major holidays. Scrub color is ceil blue, provided by the facility. Anesthesia is available 24/7. During active labor, anesthesia staff is usually present in the facility. A high percentage of the patient population opts for epidurals. After-hours and weekend care is provided by private physicians. There is no IV team on site. Respiratory Therapy services are available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available from 7 AM to 10:30 PM, with satellite services afterward. Shifts begin at both 7 AM and 7 PM. Floating to postpartum in rotation with permanent staff is expected. Orientation includes three shifts on the unit and two in Labor & Delivery. Common diagnoses primarily involve Level 2 neonatal care. A new LDRP room setup is available, while postpartum rooms are older. Lactation nurses are available during day shifts to support care plans. A security system is in place for infants, providing safety measures. The patient population typically reflects a higher socioeconomic status. A notable portion of patients speaks Mandarin. Translation services are available via phone support. All staff are involved in triage and non-stress testing (NST). Optional call may be offered, with a requirement to be within 20 minutes of the facility. A sleep room can be utilized while on call. Cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to four shifts per assignment.
