Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
practical experience. 2 years of experience with software
development in C or C++ programming languages, or 1 year of
experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. 2 years
of experience working with embedded operating systems. Preferred
qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a
related technical field. 2 years of experience with performance,
systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging. 2 years
of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an
academic or industry setting. Experience with low-level hardware
interaction. Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and
resolution, and software test engineering. About the job Google's

technology forward. In this role, you will be working on the
Always-On Subsystem, a revolutionary system that powers
intelligent, energy-efficient mobile experiences. This is not just

devices understand and respond to their environment.The Platforms
and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software
platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as
well as our first party devices and services that combine the best
of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area
research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's
interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building
innovative experiences for our users around the world. The US base
salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus
equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,
and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
work location and additional factors, including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can
share more about the specific salary range for your preferred
location during the hiring process. Please note that the

system development code. Participate in, or lead design reviews
with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available
technologies. Review code developed by other engineers and provide
feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking
code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Contribute to
existing documentation or educational content and adapt content
based on product/program updates and user feedback. Triage product
or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources
of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service
operations and quality.
