Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
practical experience. 8 years of experience in software
development. 5 years of experience with one or more of the
following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and
responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g.,
sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization
in another ML field. 5 years of experience with ML design and ML
infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data
processing, debugging, fine tuning). 5 years of experience testing,
and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with
software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a
related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures
and algorithms. 3 years of experience in a technical leadership
role leading project teams and setting technical direction. 3 years
of experience working in a structured organization involving
cross-functional, or cross-business projects. Experience with TPUs,
TPU system design, GPUs. Experience in machine learning compilers

Learning (ML) Frameworks Runtime, Devices, Numerical Acceleration
(RDNA) is Core ML's organization dedicated to Google's first-party
and third-party ML training and serving software stack from
developer (both internal and cloud) to device. The goal is internal
and Cloud developers innovating model and ML-supported products
with effortless and transparent use of performant, efficient,
effective, high-functioning ML infrastructure, focusing all their
time and energy on forward-reaching achievements for products and
the advancement of the field. We are building the machine learning
infrastructure between the top-level frameworks and aim hardware as

problems. The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and
enhance large-scale software solutions. Provide technical
leadership on high-impact projects and manage project priorities,
deadlines, and deliverables. Facilitate alignment and clarity
across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Influence and coach
a distributed team of engineers. Lead the design and implementation
of solutions in specialized ML areas, optimize ML infrastructure,
and guide the development of model optimization and data processing
strategies. Migrate existing frameworks (TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch)
runtimes (TFExecutor, TFRT, PJRT) and product area’s custom
workflows (AdBrain, YouTube, Search) onto ML runtime, minimizing
any user disruption.
