POSITION SUMMARY:Perform calibration, testing, maintenance and repair on electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments and equipment used in the development, testing and manufacturing of medical devices, ensuring equipment and instruments are fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory requirements.Maintain calibrated instruments and equipment through the application of good management practices that ensure the information gathered through measurement is reliable, accurate and traceable.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform various complex duties inclusive of calibration, testing, maintenance and repairs of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment and instruments in line with established SOP's and quality and regulatory standardsPerform calibration, testing, maintenance and repair on molecular diagnostic systems and modules in line with established SOP's and quality and regulatory standardsDocument calibration data and prepare reports, as required.Ensure schedule adherence to meet cGMP compliance and production needsMonitor and complete all business tasks within established timeframe and ensure optimal qualityCoordinate with various internal departments to ensure calibrations are completed within established interval due datesSchedule onsite calibration events with external service providers in coordination with equipment/instrument owners to minimize production down time.Monitor and communicate coming due calibrations to internal customers for equipment/instruments requiring offsite calibration by external calibration service providersMaintain control and traceability related to instruments calibrated internally and by external service providersInitiate and distribute non-conforming event (Out of Tolerance) investigations to affected internal customers and provide support as needed to drive investigation to completion within required timeframeMentor and train lower level calibration techniciansComplete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience (in years): High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience ORAA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experienceTeam lead experience a plusExperience working in a cGMP environmentKnowledge and skills: Sound knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and ISO standardsAbility to operate and troubleshoot a wide variety of equipment/instrumentsStrong knowledge of digital/analog input/outputs and loop calibration methodologiesAbility to read and understanding electrical schematics and PDeveloped analytical skills and application of scientific methods to perform a variety of activitiesAbility to work with little to no supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate across the organizationStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookPractical experience and knowledge of administrative functionality within various regulatory asset (calibration or maintenance) management platforms; experience with Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager a plusPhysical requirements/abilities: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
