Your Future.SummaryUnder general supervision, participates in all phases of winemaking processes and bottling production as assigned, as well as the care, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities. Adheres to all safety procedures, support quality and GMP standards.Essential Functions* This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.* Under general supervision performs basic operation on packaging equipment (ex. CBP 32, Shrink Wrap, Weber Label Printer) including loading correct packaging materials into the machinery.* Safely and efficiently operate all assigned pieces of equipment production line to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.* Assist with change overs.* Maintains the mindset that there is always room for improvement, there is always a way to do it better.* Ability to keep work area clean, organized and Food Safety compliant. Responsible for general housekeeping duties and maintaining a sanitary work area.* Responsible for routine production reporting and quality checks.* Must be able to consistently perform all in-process and final production quality control and verification checks.* Responsible for compliance with E & J Gallo Winery sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.* Demonstrates situational awareness and a sense of urgency on the production floor.* Demonstrates a sense of urgency for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.* Communicates effectively with team members, leadership and other departments.* Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.* Certification and re-certification of attained Fork-lift Driver skills.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/AQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum Qualifications* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate; or 6 months of wine production or manufacturing experience.* Required to be 18 years of age or older.* Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations.* Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.* Required to work any assigned shift (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.* Required to wear a respirator when necessary.* Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.* Required to work at heights and in confined spaces.* Required to comply with company GMP policies.* Skilled in writing simple correspondence.* Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.Preferred Qualifications* High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of wine production or manufacturing experience.* Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.* Experience operating a forklift.* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.* Experience in using a computer.* Experience being a team player.* Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.* Skilled in basic mathematical operations.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
