Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Factory Commissioning Heavy Rail Supervisor with a robust technical understanding of the Rolling Stock testing and commissioning process. The successful candidate will lead their team through various factory commissioning phases, ensuring the achievement of plant goals related to Quality, Productivity, and On-Time Deliveries. This role is fully supported by the Field Service Department and the broader Siemens Rolling Stock business.

The ideal candidate will thrive with the challenges associated with commissioning industry-leading Light Rail Vehicles, Locomotives, and Passenger Coach Cars. They must be self-directed and continuously seek improvement opportunities for themselves and their team.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead teams of test technicians to ensure the safety, health, and welfare of all team members.
  • Ensures alignment to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, and ensures achievement of agreed performance standards such as safety, quality and schedule.
  • Supervises the testing of new products and participates in the creation of solutions to departmental challenges.
  • Contributes to budget planning processes and monitors budget alignment
  • The direct supervision of 20+ employees
  • Employee relations including employee motivation, effective two-way communication and employee engagement
  • Performance Management; supervise and take action to maintain performance levels of all direct reports.
  • Schedule Management; collaborating on and implementing schedules for factory commissioning.

    • Associate's degree in engineering or business field
    • Must have excellent communication
    • Decision making skills
    • Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting
    • Self-directed
    • Always looking for continuous improvement
    • Minimum of 3 years related experience

        This position is based in City, State. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html . The base salary range for this position in City, State, is $110,000- $120,000. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications .
