Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Director reports to the Executive Director, with a dotted
line to the regional sales team, and leads the marketing and sales
efforts of the community. This position will plan, coordinate,
track, and report out on monthly prospects and/or referral source
activities and events. Partnering with the regional sales team, the
Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing sales
and marketing plans and achieving community occupancy goals while
demonstrating the Culture Code that Revel Communities embraces.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborating with the Executive Director and the regional
sales team in the development and execution of sales and marketing
plans and related budget for each community
- Responsible for all community rental sales and maintaining
budgeted occupancy and revenue by advancing current leads,
generating the number of qualified inquiries, referrals, tours and
closing rates required while accurately representing Revel services
and pricing structure
- Maintaining referral database with all contact information
including all customer interactions, notes, status, next steps and
professional relationship updates
- Working with senior leadership and the Executive Director to
develop appropriate ongoing reporting for the sales and marketing
efforts
- Identifying, establishing, and maintaining positive
relationships with industry influencers and key community and
strategic partners to assure on-going referrals and continued
opportunities to promote the community and attract residents
- Planning and conducting internal and external events to
showcase community
- Leading regularly scheduled sales meetings and calls including
but not limited to daily standup, weekly management and leadership
meetings, monthly all associate meetings
- Collaborating with the Executive Director to ensure internal
support of sales and marketing initiatives, and train community
leadership on conducting effective discovery and tours
- Fostering teamwork with team members, show initiative in
overcoming obstacles, take actions which assist others beyond job
responsibilities, and have a positive impact on team members, and
visitors
- In collaboration with marketing partners, plan, oversee and
coordinate advertising and promotion activities, including print,
online, electronic media and direct mail
- Reviewing and approving invoices to maintain budgetary
compliance in all campus marketing efforts
- Overseeing and evaluating market research and adjusting
marketing strategy to meet changing market and competition.
Monitoring competitors' products, sales and marketing activities,
and contribute research and analysis to support decision-making and
planning for major sales initiatives.
- Managing the department within the budgetary guidelines, track
inventory, order supplies, and manage expenses
- Looking for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies both
within the department and within the community on a daily
basis
- Striving to maintain a safe working environment through the
prevention of accidents and through the preservation of safe
working practices
- Complying with the company's standards and regulations to
encourage safe and efficient community operations
- Representing the company's Culture Code on a daily basis both
in and out of the community
- Promoting and displaying a spirit of teamwork in performance of
daily duties through cooperative interactions with team members and
other departments
- Displaying a positive and professional image through behaviors
and actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and
grooming, including wearing professional clothing and/or uniform
and a name tag when working
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful sales and leadership experience in a
senior living, hospitality, or related industry required;
multi-community experience a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of
education required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business,
communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
preferred
- Ability and willingness to drive the community vehicle(s), as
needed, for sales-related activity; must possess a valid driver's
license issued in the state of residence
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as well
as be available to residents at peak service times and days
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the
ability to display effective planning and negotiation skills
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with
team members, residents, family members, visitors, and the general
public
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
including the ability to speak in front of small groups of people
with the ability to explain and communicate complex ideas to a wide
audience (employees, residents, family members, the general public,
etc.)
- Ability to understand and conceptualize concepts and to make
independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to
remain calm during stressful or emergency situations
- Ability to show sincere compassion towards cognitively impaired
older adults and demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and
emotional needs of older people and their families
- Reasoning skills that include the ability to understand issues
and process information for giving and receiving feedback and
instructions
- Ability to promote a positive, friendly, and supportive
environment through our Culture Code
- Proficiency with the use of computers, mobile devices (e.g.,
tablets, iPads), AV equipment/technology, and other office
equipment (e.g., phones, scanners, copiers, fax machines, etc.) as
well as possess familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

the categories of personal information described in Section 1 with
other parties as necessary for the business purposes described
above or as described at the time of collection, including the

- Affiliates. Our corporate parent, subsidiaries, and other
affiliates under the control of our corporate parent, for purposes
consistent with this Privacy Policy or to operate shared
infrastructure, systems and technology.

that help us manage the recruiting process and operate our
business, such as job boards, recruiters, interviewing and testing,
pre-employment screening, interview travel booking and expense
reimbursement (where applicable), relocation (where applicable),
and recruitment analytics.
- Government authorities, law enforcement and others. Government
authorities, law enforcement, courts, and others as described in
the compliance, safety, and fraud prevention section above.
- Business transfer participants. Parties to transactions and
potential transactions whereby we sell, transfer or otherwise share
some or all of our business or assets, including your personal

information about candidates. Further, we do not knowingly "sell"
or "share" the personal information of California residents under

4. Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary
to fulfill the purpose of collection, including for the purposes of
satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to
establish and defend legal claims, for fraud prevention purposes,
or as long as required to meet our legal obligations. To determine
the appropriate retention period for personal information, we
consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal
information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or
disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we
process your personal information and whether we can achieve those
purposes through other means, and the applicable legal
